Dr James Gareh (MBA, PhD) - Principal Consultant

James is the founder of the Small Business Transformation Team and has operated as a managing director in the B-to-B services sector for the last 8 years.  He has enjoyed hands on operational success including the following in various businesses:

+ Taken a loss making business to profit of over £500k in one year and up to £800k in year two
+ Achieved record historical profits and a growth of 160% in one year from £350K to over £850K
+ Re-structured complete organisations both in terms of process and people
+ Achieved cost consolidation exercises achieving significant operating margin growth
+ Driven aggressive sales reviews growing sales and marketing teams doubling resources and returns in 1 year
+ Taken a £400k loss making business to profit within 1 year

In addition to the numerous operational and strategic achievements involved with the above, he has also been involved in post merger integrations, developing and driving e-business strategy and processes and many other projects. Previous to being with the SBTT he has advised a number of small business on a range of issues and very much enjoys seeing the success of the teamwork between owner and advisor.

  Giles Giffin ACA - Associate Consultant: Finance and Accounting

Giles is a chartered accountant and business owner who has spent the last 12 years helping businesses across the UK and Europe with their financial needs, including business modelling and valuation, raising finance and working capital management.  He has worked with internationally renowned companies such as Hewlett Packard as well as various owner managed businesses.

Conroy is a performance improvement consultant who specialises in re-engineering processes to reduce costs, increase throughput and reduce lead-time. He is a qualified mechanical engineer with an MBA and enjoys a breadth of experience – he has worked as a mechanical engineer in the chemical manufacturing industry; an analyst/designer of business systems in the financial services industry; and a management consultant across a range of industries  

Conroy has been a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, Business Advisory Services and is actively involved in mining projects in South Africa.
